Murat Ünal studied Business Administration and graduated from the University of Adelaide/Australia (with research in Asia/Pacific) with a Bachelors Degree in Commerce (B.Com).

He worked for an international management consulting firm after his studies and joined the mutual fund/financial services business in 1998 acting finally as a Management Committee member for a local Asset Manager where he was mainly responsible for integrated marketing, sales and PR.

As Head of Investment Marketing and Sales within Citibank Northern Europe (focusing on Belgium & France) in Brussels he managed the third party fund business (CitiChoice) and brokerage activities.

Before Murat  founded Funds@Work at the end of 2001, which he now represents as the responsible board member, he took over the bank marketing business at Fidelity Investments for a  short period of time.

Murat has a Master of Business Administration degree (M.B.A) from the Kellogg School of Management/USA in joint cooperation with WHU/Germany and its network programs at Tel Aviv University/Israel and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology/China).

Murat also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the School of Law at Northwestern University (NLaw) in Chicago.

Murat is a Doctoral Candidate at IE Business School (Instituto de Empresa) in Madrid where he is further working on the model-based markt intelligence which makes Funds@Work so unique. His dissertation focuses on social network analysis, specifically the role of social capital and its unintended consequences on corporate governance.

Karl Olbert studied law at the Universities of Heidelberg and Geneva; he holds a law degree (2. Staatsexamen) of the State of Baden Württemberg.

His financial education includes an banking apprenticeship, financial analyst, TH Darmstadt as well as an investment banking seminar at Stern Graduate School of Business, New York University, New York. Furthermore he completed an advanced executive program at the London Business School.

Karl has 20 years of professional experience in the asset management industry. For many years he worked for the Deutsche Bank Group, first in Mannheim servicing institutional investors, as European Equity Portfolio Manager with Morgan Grenfell Asset Management in London and as Managing Director of Deutsche Asset Management, Frankfurt, with focus on client relationship and business development in Germany.

Later he was responsible for the business of State Street Global Markets in Germany which included services for institutional clients and asset management companies around trading, research and operational efficiencies.

Tobias Baumann is a researcher at Funds@Work studying for a Bachelor´s degree in International Business Administration at Hochschule Darmstadt as part of his fellowship program working full time for us.

He previously spent a year in Sofia /Bulgaria as a scholar of the Peter-von-Zahn foundation taking part in an exchange program administrated by the German Youth For Understanding Comittee. He has also gained journalistic experiences at a well known German newspaper and at the German Bundestag.

Vadim Morochek is a Senior Consultant at Funds@Work and complements the team greatly because of his deep insights into the back and middle office activities of the investment industry, and the financial services sector in general. Based on his Eastern European background he will also assist the team in further internationalizing our activities.

Vadim Morochek, an engineer in telecommunications, started his professional career at one of the leading German technology corporates (Siemens AG) where he spent nearly five years implementing customized industrial automation solutions. He joined a derivatives brokerage and clearing subsidiary enterprise (Newedge Group, a joint venture between Societe Generale and Calyon Bank from France) remaining there for over nine years and leading as Director the IT division at its Frankfurt branch for the last five years.

He was actively involved in and headed numerous day-to-day operational as well as strategic projects across diverse functional areas of the bank and its investment entities.

Vadim obtained furthermore his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University/USA) and its partner Otto Beisheim School of Management (WHU/Germany).
